This first essential stage focuses on understanding how you like to travel. You share your interests, any dislikes, the budget you’re working with, and the level of comfort you expect. Destination ideas help shape the direction. These insights form the basis of your itinerary, ensuring each recommendation reflects your personal travel preferences right from the very beginning.
Your itinerary is shaped through a wide network of trusted partners. You benefit from access to tour operators, cruise companies, car hire firms, luxury hotels, airlines, and specialist suppliers. Collaboration with destination management companies and local tourist offices brings additional local insight. These connections allow options to be compared, tailored, and refined so your plans develop into a clear, well-structured journey that reflects how you prefer to travel.
Your booking is protected through Merlin Travel Group Ltd, an Accredited Member of Protected Trust Services (PTS). Customer funds are securely held in an independently managed trust account, and any package holiday that includes international flights from the UK carries full ATOL protection. This gives confidence that every stage of your travel plans has been arranged with care and transparency.
Support continues from the moment planning begins until you arrive back home. You can reach out at any time for guidance, reassurance, or practical help, much like having a virtual assistant in your pocket throughout the journey. Whether it’s clarifying details, adjusting arrangements, or handling unexpected changes, you always have someone available to assist you while you travel.
Travel Lyn Style is built on more than three decades of hands-on experience within the travel industry. My career began in the commercial departments of several international airlines, a path that took me through Ireland, France, Canada, Austria, Italy, Greece and the UK. Working with companies such as Canadian Airlines, Lauda Air, Austrian Airlines, Alitalia and Aegean Airlines gave me a detailed understanding of how the industry operates behind the scenes — from routes and revenue to logistics and customer operations. This background now shapes the way I design and manage travel for my clients.
Travel has been part of my life from a very young age. As the daughter of a commercial airline pilot, I grew up on the move, exploring Ireland and travelling internationally with my family to destinations including the United States, Nigeria, Kenya, Spain, Russia and a number of European cities. This early exposure to different places formed the foundation of my curiosity for how people travel, why they travel, and what elevates a journey from routine to rewarding.
I moved to Paris as an au-pair and spent 30 years living in France, travelling widely throughout the country and becoming fluent in French. My three children have grown up with the same interest in discovering new places. I continue to divide my time between the UK and my home in the Pas-de-Calais, returning there regularly.
Over the years, both professionally and personally, I have travelled extensively. These journeys have taken me across Europe, North America, Africa, Asia and beyond, including repeated visits to destinations such as Greece, Canada and Bali, as well as longer, multi-stop trips through India, Tanzania and Peru. Each trip adds to my understanding of how destinations work in practice — the logistics, the seasonality, the connections, and the small details that influence the overall experience.
Travel Lyn Style brings all of this together. In a world where options can be overwhelming and time is limited, travellers increasingly look for someone who understands the industry, knows the destinations first-hand, and can manage the planning with clarity and structure. My role is to apply that experience on behalf of my clients, designing journeys that are well-organised, carefully considered and supported from beginning to end.
